1. Introduction
Welcome to Academia Sync. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Academia Sync mobile application (“the App”), operated by the Academia Sync development team (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Note: The app is currently in beta development and not yet available to the public. These Terms outline the intended use and responsibilities once the app is launched.
2. App Purpose
Academia Sync is designed to help South African learners manage their academic schedules, assignments, study plans, and curriculum progress based on the official Department of Basic Education’s Annual Teaching Plans (ATPs).
3. Accounts and Access
When registration becomes available:
- You must provide accurate and complete information.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful or harmful purposes.
- Attempt to hack, decompile, or reverse-engineer the software.
- Upload harmful or unauthorized content.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the service.
Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of access.
5. Payments
Some features of Academia Sync may be available under paid plans.
- All payments will be securely processed through third-party providers such as Paystack, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
- Refunds, billing cycles, and plan limits will be clearly outlined before launch.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, code, designs, and branding associated with Academia Sync are owned by the Academia Sync team. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the app without permission.
7. Availability and Updates
The app may experience downtime or updates that temporarily affect functionality.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and may modify or discontinue certain features at any time.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Academia Sync is provided on an “as-is” basis.
We make no guarantees about performance, accuracy, or results obtained through the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, data loss, or other issues arising from the use or inability to use the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the app inappropriately.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in South African courts.
